Yeah, I ran into that, too. It turned out that there were some old targets
lying around. Sorry, I don't remember exactly which ones. Try
cross-checking /usr/sup/current/last.gnu or 'grep gnu
/usr/src/current/last.src' (whichever applies) against your tree.
