I prefer to do it the other way, so that the Microsoft operating
systems don't get confused.

You then have the option of playing with boot managers to boot NetBSD
from the second disk or just booting from a floppy.  I use the floppy
disk for simplicity; some people can't stand the extra 30-40s it takes
to boot.
