Not Spamazon.  They spam, they continue to spam people who have asked to
be removed, they spam people who have never heard of them before, and Amazon
computers are the origins of messages from "satisfied customers" on Usenet.

There are other equally good bookstores.

programmers confirmed over poker that Amazon's policy is to take any email
address they can get and at least give it a couple of mailings, just in
case it's "live".
