I recently two make builds. One a Pentium II /266 and one on a
PC164SX. Both used IDE disks.

The Pii took about 1h40m and PC164SX took 1h10m. Considering
the extra amount of work gcc does on alpha, I was pleasently
surprised by the speed of 21164PC-533 on PC164SX. (The price
total of 164sx system was < $1500 and 128MB of ECC memory).
