Good luck! I'm an X moron, but I decided to try it anyway. The vncviewer
built and ran just fine, but the virtual X server was a real bear. Two
hours and lots of frustration later, I gave up. All the way from the
recursive xmkmf that kept creating new subdirectories till I ^C'ed it to
the typedef of u_long that isn't included when _XOPEN_SOURCE is
#defined, but yet is used in unistd.h, it was just one problem after
another.

Note that the web page has a link to mailing list archives, and one of
them has a patchfile for FreeBSD.

Further note that I tried running the Linux binary of the virtual X
server. It only runs if I start it running with my euid set to root (I
also tried making the binary setuid root, and that didn't help).

All that said, this program is *VERY* cool. I've run it across a 64k
ISDN connection (with both Win95 and X servers and clients) and the
performance is quite acceptable.

Can't ait to hear about your success!
