Hi,
I've got some spare money (lucky guy, isn't it ?) and want to
purchase PCI SCSI card and SCSI Zip drive. I'd be happy, if
I would use with this card cd-burner I have available in work
(it's Sony 6/2 one, can send more info if it would matter),
but don't need it very badly.

I would like to know, which SCSI card is working well and reliably
under NetBSD and is cheap enough ($200 would be about maximum I would like
to spend for it). NCR would be just fine (nice is it's cheap ;-b),
but there was discussion some time ago (a year ?) and some had
said it's not very good. I don't know if it would be perfomant
enough to work well with the burner. Adaptec should be better maybe,
but the price isn't so good. I have no expieriences with any other type
of SCSI card .

I'm considering to buy some UPS too. I need just some small device
which would be able to filter variations in electric circuit out
and give some time for computer to shut down when power supply
fails (say max. of 5 minutes). Any suggestions ? I've seen
advertising of NetUPS and APC, has anyone any bad or extremely good
experiences with any of them ?

I'm using NetBSD 1.2.1/i386, to be complete.

It is better never to have been born. But who among us has such luck?
One in a million, perhaps.
