It works. The first NetBSD computer it ever ran on is my lab's 486. I had
it running there before I had it working on my mac at home. It's also been
tested on an alpha (which is a good test for making sure you got all the
data types right). It works fine.
You need to get either the NetBSD-patched version on ftp.macbsd.com, or
get Adrian Sun's AppleshareIP-patched version of Netatalk. The latter's
contained the NetBSD patches for many months.
Netatalk 1.4b3 will contain the NetBSD patches.
