According to hier(7):
/tmp temporary files, usually a mfs(8) memory-based filesystem (the
contents of /tmp are usually NOT preserved across a system re-
boot)
/var/tmp temporary files that are kept between system reboots
This seems to imply to me that our gcc should put temp files in /tmp
rather than /var/tmp by default, if only to be consistent with
our hier(7).
Should I send-pr this or is this deliberate ? I can't believe
that /var/tmp/cc01620a.i and /var/tmp/cc01620a.s want to
be kept across reboots :-)
