Well, my first concern is that the stuff in /bin be what I need to
get my systems working quickly if they break. Job control, command
line history, and so on are really big wins in this regard, especially
given that probably don't have a windowing environment, and may
not even have a writable disk.

Which system, exactly, is so short on space that we need to save
150K somewhere? And is this the only feature we can consider
removing?
