Hello folks. With the telnet sources as of the tar balls of August 3,
1997, I find that when I connect to the smtp port of a machine, or any port
that doesn't do specific telnet negotiation, that the crnl translation is
turned off. This means that when I type a return, I get a "^m" instead of
getting a response to the typed in query. If I type "^J" instead, it
works. Is this change in behavior intentional? (In former versions, the
return key would send a new line.)
-thanks
