Why "sm"?  why not "es"?

SMC91Cxx drivers have been existed as "es" in atari (91C90)
and in arm32 (91C92) ports.
(yes, these two seems slightly different...)

Will rewrite these two drivers (as "sm"?? )
using following MI part?
