I've noticed a weird problem when connecting to 4.4BSD systems (in
this case, BSD/OS) over laggy networks with telnet.  The symptom is
that if I type "hello\ngoodbye", I may see "hedbyllo\ngooe".  Refreshing
reveals that my characters were accepted in the right order.

Any suggestions?  Things I could use to debug this?
