In the GENERIC conf file (for i386) it has the line:

#options DUMMY_NOPS # speed hack; recommended

Now it used to be uncommented by default. Now it is commented out but
the comment following still suggests that it is a good idea to compile
this feature in. I am wondering if the comment is now considered wrong
(and therefore should be changed) or is it still reccommended (and so
should be in by default.)

Thanks.
