I dunno.   It's a hell of a lot easier to use - I don't have to stop
and type ls five times to find my way down to the part of the NetBSD
source tree I need.   I haven't seen any evidence that ftp is any
slower to load or significantly larger on disk.

I guess it would be good, though, if it were the case that by default,
libedit honored the same key bindings that the regular tty driver
uses.
