Thanks to all for Alpha Multia comments!  It doesn't sound all that good
a machine any more. ;-)  Sure, it would be nice to own an Alpha, but if
there's a risk of it dying soon, it may not be worth it.

Here in Finland computer hardware costs more than in the US, so $800 isn't
that bad (IMHO) and as companies get the VAT back, the real price drops to
$640 or so.
