when I see colors and diff styles, I am on the local console, no X. PC

but when I telnet via a Win95 (sorry) system, using VT100/220-8bit I only
see reverse text style in Lynx. Using the same telnet method, if I do
man somecommand, I can see all the styles and propper format and colors
in the man page. So I think it's something within lynx.
