Yes. If you check my later messages, you can set BSDOBJDIR=. and
you will have the old behaviour you got if `make obj' was never
run.

Whatever you like. It's the contents of BSDOBJDIR with the architecture
appended. If that directory doesn't exist, it tries BSDOBJDIR
without the architecture appended. If neither exists, it fails.
