Take a look at the mgetty package. This program is a bit Linux'ish,
but it is really, really powerful and can handle almost anything you
ever wanted for your modem port. You will find the latest version at
ftp://ftp.leo.org:/pub/comp/networking/communication/modem/mgetty/.
