Chris Provenzano's pthreads implementation should run on several
NetBSD ports.  It can be found at sipb.mit.edu:pub/pthreads.
It's by no means perfect, but it's better than nothing.

The pthreads code in the NetBSD source tree is hopelessly outdated;
don't even bother trying with it (for now).  I understand that some
work is underway to replace it with a more highly-integrated version,
but i don't know what the status of that is.
