Hello!

I got problems compiling xinstall with NetBSD current 02.12.1996 sources:

On NetBSD/amiga I get:

/src/usr.bin/xinstall:
[milano@di_frueauf]/src/usr.bin/xinstall# make
cc -O  -Werror  -c /src/usr.bin/xinstall/../../bin/ls/stat_flags.c
cc -O  -Werror  -c /src/usr.bin/xinstall/xinstall.c
cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6
*** Error code 1

I added -v to cc and got:

[milano@di_frueauf]/src/usr.bin/xinstall# cc -v -O  -Werror  -c /src/usr.bin/xinstall/xinst
gcc version 2.7.2
 /usr/libexec/cpp -lang-c -v -undef -D__GNUC__=2 -D__GNUC_MINOR__=7 -Dunix -Dm68k -Dmc68000 -Dmc68020 -D__NetBSD__ -D__KPRINTF_ATTRIBUTE__ -D__unix__ -D__m68k__ -D__mc68000__ -D__mc68020__ -D__NetBSD__ -D__KPRINTF_ATTRIBUTE__ -D__unix -D__m68k -D__mc68000 -D__mc68020 -Asystem(unix) -Asystem(NetBSD) -Acpu(m68k) -Amachine(m68k) -D__OPTIMIZE__ -Werror -D__HAVE_68881__ -D__HAVE_FPU__ /src/usr.bin/xinstall/xinstall.c /var/tmp/cc018666.i
GNU CPP version 2.7.2 (68k, MIT syntax)
#include "..." search starts here:
#include <...> search starts here:
 /usr/include
End of search list.
 /usr/libexec/cc1 /var/tmp/cc018666.i -quiet -dumpbase xinstall.c -O -Werror -version -o /var/tmp/cc018666.s
GNU C version 2.7.2 (68k, MIT syntax) compiled by GNU C version 2.7.2.
cc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6

which also created a core dump.

On NetBSD/hp300 I get a hanging machine if I try to compile xinstall!

So is that an m68k problem with gcc? Anyone else had this problem too?
Any ideas on how to track this down?

Thanx for any help in advance!

Greets
