Does this actually work?

>From reading the code and docs, the remote terminal server will tell
the local PPP code what address it has, and if it doesn't have the
right address NetBSD's PPP code will reject it...

What am i missing here?  I tried this, and it didn't work for me --
there was a recent (short) discussion on tech-net about it...
