Steven's TCP/IP V1, printed 1994, contains a section on gratuitous arp.
He shows the tcpdump output as the bsdi machine generates one.
I have seen many others recommend Comer's book instead, but this one is
serving me well as an introductory, albeit dry text. YMMV.

PS: Anyone know of a searchable repository with "ratings" or at least
comparitive reviews of technical books like the above two?
