So, why is this not integrated into -current, before code-freeze for an 
eventual next release?  Are you imposing a core-unacceptable license on this 
code?

And yes, I can live with #if defined(__*BSD__) in kernel space.  At least this 
can document the changes between *BSD and leads to a more widespread effort in 
propagating *BSD against LINUX, though this battle may be lost already.
