Let me cast my vote for a rock-solid system.  The only hacker-friendly
feature I'm missing right now is the ability to muck about with rarely
used system calls without getting kernel panics.

There are very few features I want but don't have; there are dozens of
existing features that aren't stable yet.

(And no, I'm not volunteering; I'm *way* too busy.  I will volunteer
to implement new ANSI features in the library, especially if any of
mine are in there.)
