YMMV, I suppose. With essentially the same configuration, I was
almost always going into swapping with 24 MB of RAM. 32 has eased
the problem quite a lot.

If you want to eat RAM, just start Netscape. If you point it at
the game of life or some similar form with a lot of boxes, etc. on
it, you can swell Netscape to 8MB or so and X to over 10 MB.
