I can't seem to be able to get a make buid done

I'm running NetBSD1.1, gcc, tsort ld and as are current, so is my
source, current up to last week.

The problem starts in make depend.

The list keeps going.

Then when make depend is finished I get this:

it gets to this statement:
ctags /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_close.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_conv.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_debug.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_delete.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_get.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/db/btree/bt_open.........

Continues here for a few screens full

and ends with :

........./src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/sys/semctl.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/sys/truncate.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/yp/xdryp.c /src/netbsd/src/lib/libc/yp/yplib.c
*** Signal 11

Stop.

I'd really like to know what is causing this

Thanks for any suggestions.

Arthur.
