As far as I know the closest to a *BSD port has been done by
David Boyce (dave@abyss.demon.co.uk) who were kind enough to send his BSD/OS
patches to the java-port-bsd list. (If you wan't it, mail me)
On Feb 6 Chris Warth <csw@well.com> wrote about getting beta1 working on
FreeBSD.
One of these days (don't hold your breath :-), I'll be looking at it for
NetBSD (and SunOS-4.1.4)
