In case you are talking about the Amiga port:

When the machine independent config files for scsi stuff was just
included, instead of copied, into sys/arch/amiga/conf/files.amiga, 
the major number definitions

major {sd = 4}
major {st = 5}
major {cd = 7}

got lost. Add them after "include "../../../scsi/conf/files.scsi", or
resup (I committed the fix Friday evening middle European time).
