I think a list dedicated to portables makes sense in light of the
special interests of the portables user/developer community. I'm
convinced that desktop-only users don't want to hear about PCMCIA,
special kernel mods, etc. A portables list ought to be used only for
those issues that are not relevant to non-portables though.

"port-able-i386" sounds good to me!
