Ahem, there are countries where most text files are based upon 8 bit
characters. ;-)  Sure, the NetBSD source is 7-bit only, but not all
of my sources are.

I wish isprint() and the other calls had full NLS support.  Well, the
8 bit chars work much better in 1.1 than they did in 1.0.

No, I don't want to take part in the recursive grep fight. ;-)
