It's not a 28000 problem. My Motorola 3400 worked stable with 1.1. Today
with a 1.1A kernel I got a hanging connection for the 1st time, too. I
reinstalled the 1.1 kernel and everything works fine again.

I suppose a bug in version 1.63 of "com.c".
