Has prof been depreciated?  I note no binary, although several man pages
make reference to it.  Additionally it seems that we cannot compile with
-p, though the comments in /usr/src/lib/csu/i386/crt0.c indicate that its
gcrt0.o is really mcrt0.o:

>gabriella% cc -p foo.c
>ld: mcrt0.o: No such file or directory
