Most of those problems seem to disappeer when you use "compress".
It's also not only zero length files but also files with lots
of nulls in them like kcadp11.fs and kcoth11.fs. At my place
kcadp11.fs was transferred with incorrect data (cksum was different)
and kcoth11.fs would fail until I set it all to "compress".

It might be my old binary though:
