I have a trivial script which periodically pings my PPP connection, and if
necessary, restarts it.  I have noticed that this *will* hang my system,
eventually.  No panic, no messages; it just locks up at some point.  This
is a nearly-current amiga, everything built with -O2, but has had this
problem sporadically for months.  Any suggestions?
