Can anyone suggest why a port would suddenly go to parity and lose
cr/lf settings during login?  This is *after* the password prompt, which
works.  It happens only on the internal serial port in this (amiga) system,
the 7 ports on a serial card do not have this problem.

The gettytab entry does have :np:.
