I was able to sup successfully from there over the weekend without any
problems (well, okay, I did have some problems, but they were all related
to stuff at my end).

Okay, I was doing my sup late at night over a holiday weekend, so it wasn't
that busy :-) I had to download every file as well due to the server change.
I imagine that it will be busy for a little while until most of the people
get their source trees updated.

"Patience, grasshopper" :-)

(If you have access to AFS, I can give you a pointer to my source tree. If
not, I'd be willing to slop some tarballs your way).
