This silly thread has gone on too long, but I'll extend it nevertheless:

1) You don't wanna call an OS Chemnitz.. I mean: I had the pleasure of
spending about 3 months over there this year, and it is the most
uninspiring place I have been sofar! ugh.
2) Let's change the name of NetBSD into a symbol (logo) and call it
"The OS formerly known as BSD" (hey, maybe this will avoid trademark
   problems too!)

More seriously: I hope we get a very good release-machine going, so that
new releases can be done when the time is right. I still like the original
BSD way of releasing things (i.e. no deadlines, when it's done it's done,
see at the start of the daemon book), but in the, eh, quickly moving
free OS-market (did I say market? ugh) this may not be what you always
want.
