In 1.0 and in a current as of May 15, vi seems to ignore TMPDIR and
the internal variable (dir or directory) that are supposed to set where
it dumps tmp files it uses...
It seems to use /var/tmp/vi.recover reguardless...
Seeing as var is often on / and / is often small this is a problem...
(also the switch telling it not to make extra copies didn't really
keep it from diddling around with recover files.)
