It seems a lot of people missed this message. I was wondering why noone
reacted and posted thank-yous. It was on the netbsd-announce mailing list
and comp.unix.bsd.netbsd.announce.

It was a bit of a shock for me. He has been with the *BSD scene right
from the start and has done an amazing amount of work for NetBSD. He was
one of the people who could be checking in source code at the start of
the day, and after you went home, ate, slept, etc like a normal person would,
he'd still be working on NetBSD. It's obvious that his contributions will
be missed. Luckily he will still be working on the Alpha port (which seems
to be doing very well).

So: thank you Chris, and hopefully we'll be seeing your work on the Alpha
port for a long time to come.

That sounds like a good plan to me.
