I don't think it's been sent to the mailing lists, yet, but there was
a post on comp.unix.bsd.netbsd.announce (I think) about cgd resigning
from 'core.' It stated that he will be remaining on as port-master for
NetBSD/alpha, but that he's currently unable to spend the time necessary
to remain in the core group.

I, personally, am sorry to see it happen, but I definitely understand.

BTW, it might not be a bad time for core to make an announcement listing
the current members and perhaps a short statement of short-term and
long-term goals for the project--perhaps with a list of "wants" from
the users. I.e., suggestions for things that users could contribute--
like software (NFS lock daemons? fs defrag ;-)?) and/or gaps/enhancements
in the kernel.
