cool.  (sorta sad that i didn't even bother trying it first, but if i
had...)

unfortunately, it doesn't actually _work_ (on either live or dead
kernels), on the x86.  *sigh*


anybody with an i386 who experiences system crashes want to make it
work?  8-)
