Subject: compile woes, and broken termcap for xterms?

Heya,

I've retracted pcvt and started using the one that ships with NetBSD,
so that I can catch up to -current.

I have done the following:

sup (Monday morning - 26June)
built a new kernel and booted off of it
installed new includes
installed new share (including mk)
installed /bin
installed /sbin

When I went to build everything in /usr/src/usr.bin, it died trying to build
lex. Here's the output:

===> lex
yacc -d parse.y
mv y.tab.c parse.c
mv y.tab.h parse.h
flex -t -p /usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l > scan.c
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 68: bad character: %
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 68: bad character: =
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 68: bad character: "
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 68: bad character: .
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 68: bad character: "
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 69: unknown error processing section 1
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 69: bad character: %
"/usr/NetBSD/src/usr.bin/lex/scan.l", line 70: unknown error processing section 1

Did I miss a step?

Also, whatever changed in the termcap for xterm has made it impossible to
page small files.

To prove my point, try this: "more /etc/mygate" while in an xterm (if you
                               are on ethernet)

Can someone point me to what to change in the termcap (for the quick fix), and
can this be backed out of the -current source tree (for the long term fix)?

Thx.
