I have been seeing alot of unexplained things lately.

It started right after the changes to the kernel memory area (ps,w,...). My
system while running X would be running along just fine and then it would
appear to hang. When it hung nothing would work (network, shells, modem). The
system would clearup after 30sec -1 min after the wedge.

It might be worth noting that I never saw this without X running.

A couple of days had gone by and I thought maybee the problem had been fixed,
so I supped again. (6/9)

Now the problem is worse. If I try and run X it just locks up as soon as it
starts to set the display. So I thought maybee I need to rebuild the server.
I did it and it still doesn't work.

I have no idea what the problem could be and I am hopping someone else has
seen something like this and can offer some assistance.

I have also seen some problems with the tcsetattr and ioctl on serial ports.
I don't if this is because of a change to the termios structures or not. I
had to put in some delays in some of the programs I use to setup a slip
connection so they would not wedge when calling (tcsetattr|ioctl).
