ok, I've finally gotten the driver to fully recognise the card but still
I get no sound.. I've basically done what everybody else seems to have
done by using the (and I quote) "gross audio tools" to test the card but
still to no avail.. all devices are evident and the card makes no sound.

I've just tried it with another PAS16 card (slightly different rev - [v255
instead of v191]) and it does the exact same thing.

pas	at isa? port 0x220 irq 7 drq 1	# ProAudio Spectrum

crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 42, 128 Jun 16 14:49 /dev/audio
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 42, 16 Jun 15 12:42 /dev/mixer
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 42, 0 Jun 16 14:30 /dev/sound

/netbsd: pas at isa0 port 0x220-0x22f irq 7 drq 1 ProAudio Spectrum 16
[rev 255] : dsp v2.00

karanthia# audioplay /dev/sound < sax.au
device `pas,16' version 255 config pas: play chans 1, freq 43478
device index 0 is `mic'
nchans 1: 128
device index 1 is `speaker'
nchans 1: 128

ok from there it hangs and every minute or so (till the end of file) puts
a sixteen K block on screen.
ie.

16348
32768

or the like all the while giving me the error

/netbsd: dma channel 1 not finished ...

RTFS doesn't help here.. :-)

any help appreciated.
