Erm. Yeah. But the packets are flowing through routers in between.
Both the ftp server and client are Ethernet'ed to their respective
local area networks.

I am going to try turning off all VJ compression on the routers as
a start, but then looking at the kernel and thinking about turning
off time stamps and rest.
