When I was running NetBSD-current/mac68k as of 5/8 or so (I somehow
managed to trash the root filesystem again.. :(, I had a similar
problem with w on BSD/OS 1.1 (or maybe 1.2?), in the opposite
direction, though.  When I telnet to my ISP's BSD/OS i386 box, it's
fine as long as I don't w in a screen session, but if I do w in a
screen session, it shows some garbage in the "From" field.  Rlogin
works ok in my case, too.
