I have problems with emacs also. If I do Control-z and fg, emacs does not
go to raw mode and I have to push return after every command!?!

=46rom other terminals emacs seems to work OK. It works OK also when I
connect first to some other node and use telnet trought it to the FreeBSD
machine.
