Didn't hear it, I experienced it ;-)

The fact is, the problem appears to be with NetBSD1.0 Beta.  For some
reasaon, I thought that I had tested it on our machines that were running
1.0, but aparently I didn't.  It in fact does work fine on the 1.0 boxes.
