That was probably the $1500-$2000 third-generation Sony CD-R burner.
Unfortunately, it's been delayed until summer.   Pinnacle Micro does
sell one that's available now, though.   It lists for $1995.   Both
the Pinnacle and the Sony drives are 2x.
