It sounds like you were using disk-translation on the aha and
are not or are using a different translation on the bt.
I'd try backing up everything (in a format you can reuse
booting with 1.0-disk-kernels or home-made ones.) and then
reformating/disklabling the disk with the true disk-values.

See what dmesg tells you about the disk on the aha, the bt and
what disklabel says on the aha.
